How long does a refund check take to arrive?

What if my check was lost or stolen?
Request a refund trace through IRS.gov or by calling 800-829-1954. The IRS will verify whether the check was cashed. If it wasn't, they'll issue a replacement. If it was cashed by someone else, you'll need to file Form 3911.
